Ballinasloe Area Community Development Ltd (BACD Ltd), is a local development company established in 1999 with the main objective to create sustainable employment and encourage investment into the area.

Galway County Council granted funds to BACD Ltd for a “outdoor space pilot Scheme” which is for food premises in Ballinasloe to mark out designated seating areas outside their premises. This would support business needs to expand outdoor seating to meet the challenge of social distancing.

This project was very interesting for us, not only did we need to create branding for the town, but we also needed to involve many interested parties and bring everyone together behind one vision for the town of Ballinasloe.

We started this campaign with logo design, followed by design of a new large sign in a prominent location in the town. The goal of this sign was to encourage shoppers to shop local and entice passers by to stop and partake in what Ballinasloe has to offer.

The second part of this project was to source, design and XYZ windbreakers and sun parasols for the restaurants in Ballinasloe. These had to be in keeping with our new branding, present a clean and modern image of Ballinasloe and support the ‘Shop Local’ message.

We are very proud with how these turned out and the feedback from both local businesses and local shoppers has been overwhelmingly positive.
